Run Challenge

Story

During these difficult times COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on our fundraising ability for one of the most important initiatives we support – the Innovation Fund grant.

It is thanks to past support from people in the community that we have been able to fund this grant which allows our researchers to conduct ground-breaking research into new areas of GI cancer.

We need your help to keep the Innovation Fund grant alive.

Keen to create your own marathon? Or if that’s too much, how about 38km run over two weeks in honour of the 38 people who devastatingly die from GI cancer each day.

A run challenge is not only a great excuse to get out of the house, it also has amazing benefits for your overall health and wellbeing.

Some great personal challenges are:

  • - Run or walk 5km a day for 30 days
  • - Run or walk 38km over two weeks
  • - Buddy run – do a 2km dog-friendly run or walk with your furry friend each day for a month

Whatever challenge you decide on, your generous support will help our medical professionals continue their vital research to support people living with GI cancer.

Once you raise over $50 we will send you a GI Cancer Institute running singlet! This is great to wear in photos to share on your Fundraising Page!

To sign up to a #GutsyChallenge Run click Join Teamabove.

We will be with you every step of the way to support your fundraising efforts and to share some great tips to help you reach your target!

Remember to share your unique URL with family and friends to ask for donations in support of your challenge.

We can’t wait to have you on board! #GutsyChallenge.
