Story
During these difficult times COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on our fundraising ability for one of the most important initiatives we support – the Innovation Fund grant.
It is thanks to past support from people in the community that we have been able to fund this grant which allows our researchers to conduct ground-breaking research into new areas of GI cancer.
We need your help to keep the Innovation Fund grant alive.
Why not have a virtual video party?
Cook a meal together, raise a glass and donate what you would save from buying a meal out.
The funds raised from your Raise Your Fork event will help our frontline medical professionals continue their vital research to support GI cancer patients.
Here are some steps to help you get started:
- Get in touch with friends and family to invite them to your virtual dinner
- Select a date and time that works for everyone
- Create your own Fundraising Page and share the link with the group to make donations
- Organise which video app you’ll be using: Messenger, Facetime, Whatsapp, Zoom, Skype or House Party. You may need to remind people to download the app prior to the party
- Choose what to cook and buy your dinner ingredients
- Have your party and enjoy!!
Once you raise over $50 we will send you a GI Cancer Institute t-shirt! This is great to wear in photos to share on your fundraising page or on the day of the party.
