Jade & Cathryn
Story
Yes it's us, the crazy passionate gals are at it again!
In 2017 Jade made the decision to run a full marathon, not being a runner, in hopes that the bigger and crazier the challenge the more money she would raise for our beautiful girlfriend.
Cathryn and Jade’s friend had gastro-intestinal (GI) cancer and the usual things we do for those we love with cancer just didn't seem anywhere near enough.
After crossing the finish line and with this special friend being there waiting, Cathryn and Jade promised her they would do this for her every year.
It was at this point that Cathryn vowed she would join in also when she next could, another beautiful friend who has been busy being an awesome mum up until this year.
Cathryn is an experienced runner and all around legend in her own right.
So together Cathryn and Jade know they will be the best team to conquer 100km’s together, whilst smashing their fundraising goal in honour of their beautiful late friend.
In 2018 Jade completed the Surf Coast Century 100km Ultra Marathon and then in 2019 walked 135km of the Cape to Cape Gutsy Challenge in WA to raise vital funds for GI Cancer Research.
On Saturday 5th December 2020, Cathryn and Jade will run an Ultra Marathon once again, this time together. 100km's of running together, all dedicated to their beautiful friend.
We would really appreciate you donating anything you can spare and sharing our page/ story so we can keep our promise to raise money for GI Cancer Research and helpfind better treatment options for the 28,600 Australians diagnosed with GI cancer each year.
Thank you!
