Head Shave

Story

During these difficult times COVID-19 has had a devastating impact on our fundraising ability for one of the most important initiatives we support – the Innovation Fund grant.

It is thanks to past support from people in the community that we have been able to fund this grant which allows our researchers to conduct ground-breaking research into new areas of GI cancer.

We need your help to keep the Innovation Fund grant alive.

Choose to shave your head, chop your locks or do away with your beard.

This challenge will not only support patients living with GI cancer and the side-effects of their treatment, the money you raise from a head shave will also help our medical professionals continue their vital research.

Setting up a challenge like this is easy!

1. Choose a date to make the shave

2. Decide how you will do it – ask someone you live with to do it for you or do it yourself!

3. Create your Fundraising Page and share the unique URL with your family and friends to ask for donations

4. Remember to take before and after photos to share on your Fundraising Page.

Once you raise over $50 we will send you a GI Cancer Institute t-shirt to wear on the day of the shave!

To sign up to a #GutsyChallenge Head Shave click ‘Join Team’ above.

We will be with you every step of the way to support your fundraising efforts and to share some great tips to help you reach your target!

Remember to share your unique URL with family and friends to ask for donations in support of your challenge.

We can’t wait to have you on board! #GutsyChallenge
